Chaplaincy program
Under the Federal government funding scheme, Hobartville employs the services of a chaplain. Our current chaplain is Mr Mat Martin. The role of the chaplain is a pastoral role with a focus on well-being and student support networks.
Hi, I’m Mat Martin, the school chaplain at Hobartville Public School.
My role is to bring a caring presence to our school community, supporting students, parents, and staff in any way I can. I’m passionate about connecting with people and helping to build a strong, supportive environment for everyone.
I love working with children in the classroom, assisting in various ways, and encouraging their growth—whether physically, educationally, spiritually, mentally, or emotionally. My goal is to see every student thrive and find joy in our school community.
I also help lead the Breakfast Club and run programs focused on resilience, leadership, and essential life skills.
I’m always up for a chat, so feel free to reach out anytime!
Thanks,
Mat.
Breakfast Club
We offer a complimentary breakfast every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday morning from 8:30-8:50. This is organised by Mr Mat and his trusty student helpers.
