Community involvement

At Hobartville Public School, we value strong partnerships with our families and community. Parents and carers are encouraged to get involved through our active Parents and Citizens Association (P&C) or by volunteering at school. Your time, energy, and support enrich our programs and help make our school a thriving place for every child.

Parents and Citizens Association (P&C)

Our P&C is a group of parents, carers and school community members. They assist with school planning, fundraising, events and volunteering. Our P&C works in partnership with our school to promote the interests of our school community.

Joining the P&C a great way to meet other families, get involved and contribute to our school's future. We would love to have you on board!

P&C meetings

Our P&C meet formally twice termly, in Week 3 and Week 7 of every term. They also may choose to meet at additional times when they have significant events coming up or if a need arises. To stay up to date with these meeting dates, you can:

• Look at our school calendar for the next meeting time and other up coming events.

Volunteer at our school

Helping out at school is a great way to get involved in your school community.

Volunteer opportunities include:

• helping in the canteen
• getting involved in the P&C
• listening to children read in the classroom
• volunteering on sports days and other school events
• helping supervise excursions.
